k im lookin at gettin a new comp for now... it has an e6300.. now i understand these have 4mb l2 cache (at least the ones produces before q1 2007), but half is disabled... is there anyway to unlock the other half?

further, its 1.86, but i hear it can oc to over 3.0 ... i need help to do this, so i dont blow up my computer

im getting a 6420, it has 8x multipler. 6300 has a 7x multiplier. and the cache, no, the IHS is soldered to the cores, you would have to remove it to enable the cache, and removing will pull the cores off the wafer.

Wait for the e6750

Current = e6400 @ 3.6-3.7, the e6750 will clock even better.
