why does my comp play cod4, but not 2

I'm just curiose as to why my computer plays cod4 great. but when i go to play cod2 its so choppy that i cant play it at all.
i don't know any of my specs (its my bros old comp) but if it plays a new game, shouldnt it play na older one?

yea but u should mess with the options and stuff.. maybe the resolution is to high or something lol

go to options, graphics, change auto (dx9) to dx7. bam, good to go.
