Orthos 15 mins.
Death Runs mean just that, whatever you can boot and keep alive long enough to screen shot.

3.7 ghz from 2.0
orthos wouldn't fly, i coulda got it stable, but I need this cpu till the 8500 shows, so Ill try killing it at 4ghz once the 8500 shows. Also take note of the badass 8500gt score! Just a little increase on the shader/memory got me + 203 points, and I already have it massively over clocked( see 8500gt FTW thread).

i succussfully overclocked my 8600 GT xxx from a 620mhz core clock to 735mhz and from 800 mhz memory clock to 880mhz. here are my results before and after respectively.
it voids the warranty, i dont think ill oc it until my warranty is over.

here is mine with cpu @ 4457, mem at ddr2-837, cpu voltage at 1.423, mem voltage at 2.00, 8800gts 320mb @ 635/1000. hopefully i can take it futher with better cpu and gpu coolers. it is just a pentium d presler 930, dual core. whats make mine different from the new core 2 duos anyway. any advice would be great and what you think. dont rmember. what the score was but i think that is what is holding me back. i need an sli board and a core 2 duo really. but i am happy with it play cod2 at 300+fps and cod4 at 190-220fps

You know, I was asking myself that same question when I saw your pic! So I thought I'd keep you guessing too. Not hard to figure out though.. the CPU score is lower than the one I posted at 4.6. Still same ol' 8800GT.
Maybe I'll just get a quad and score 17k :o ....I'm sure you'll beat it. I had to give it hell to get that score lol.

The chip does 3.9 stable @ stock volts, so that's what I have it running at 24/7. Orthos stable at 4.5, same settings as my old e8400. But no hail mary runs yet. I ran OCCT for 10 mins to test vdroop at 490x9.5-1.6v but nothing past that.

got my 3.0 pentium d to 4.506. help my scores out quite a bit but i also ordered my e6600 today so hopefully that will help out alot as well. anyone know anything about that chip. also gonna be getting a P5N32-SLI in the next week.

Nice score and nice oc on that GTS! Did you change your PCIe volts? The highest stable clocks my 8800GT will do is 790 GPU(linked shader) and 1100 RAM. That's with 1.25v on the card but default PCIe volts.

You can do the volt mod and solder a 1k pot and change the volts that way (easy mod if you can solder- i did it on my old msi 8800gt) I sold that card and bought a Galaxy 8800GT because you can change the core v with a jumper. Look here http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/280249-demything-galaxy-8800gt.html I tried raising the "PCI-E OverVoltage Control" to .1v in the bios, but it didn't do anything for my oc.
Here's my latest bench, and I think this is as far as I can push this 8800GT:

seem to be hitting a wal at 3.0ghz. have seen many ppl with same board and same chip get more. cant even run 400fsb to get 1:1 with mem. have trying going over 400 to see it the strap was the problem. also have tried tweaking all setting in bios. just cant get it to post over 375 fsb. it anyone has any sug. please pm me or answer here on the forum.

well scratch that the p5b deluxe is a pita, jmicron chipset sucks. i think i fried the board trying to get it to 400fsb. had it at 2.8 400 fsb multi 7 and mem @880, running a bench and it shut off and now it wont post at all, but now i got the p5n32-sli back in there. probably gonna look into the ds3l board unless anyone says otherwise. anyone have a thing to say bad about it. not really a gigabyte fan but the board has good reviews. gonna be running vista 32 also.

cpu running too hot? its pissing me off... the thermalright doesn't fit good on the evga 680i.. i'm thinking of slapping a water cooler on this since the cooler is so heavy it was coming off the cpu so I had to do a little mod.. now the bastard doesn't bend down

ok so I took the true off and saw a river of ceramic paste lol ... replaced with AS5 (has one "serving" of it) and put it back on VERTICALLY and amazingly the temps went down by almost 15 degrees ahahaha
next time I buy "pre built" parts i'm gonna make sure I open it up myself and put it back together.. i just got lazy with it before

I think the CPU is holding back my scores a bit. if i were to upgrade my CPU would i see an increase in SM 2.0/SM 3.0 scores? also, i ran the crysis benchmark and i was getting about 80 FPS and it was glitching =P this is probably my CPU's fault. and yes, call of duty 4 is uber smooth maxed out at 1680x1050. theres no going back to my 8600 now xD

yeah a LOT ... cod4 never goes under 100 .. grid jump from 55 fps to 70s, Crysis from 20 to 39 fps on high @ 1920x1200
edit: tested cod4 more and on the HC server i get around 150 :D:D:D and goes upto 300 fps all maxed at the res

no trust me its fine its just the temp sensors are fucked on the 45nm. my e6850 ran idle at like 19-20 and my e8400 was "stuck" at 30/33, it lies.
e8400 @ 4ghz and 4870 should get you 16000+

Got my new Q6600 G0 Oc'ed to 2.7 ghz stable. anything over 1200 FSB causes lockups on BIOS post. then i have to reset CMOS to get back into my BIOS settings. Vcore is at 1.312v i cant get anything to boot above 2.7ghz. this is my score with GPU oc'ed to 780mhz core 1000mhz mem. i need to figure out why my Q6600 wont go above 2.7 but all in all im quite pleased with the 3dmark06 scores.

ccc is limited but i am having some problems with 3dmark, even at stock speeds it is like glitching at times. i managed to put off a slightly overclocked run. pretty good score really need to find out what the problem with the glitching is.

i am using catalyst 8.7 drivers. they are not beta anymore. i think they just need to refine the 4850 drivers. rivatuner also needs to add support for them.

i am only getting 3670 cpu points. i though 14000 was pretty good for one card. i though 16000 with cf would be good. really hope they get it all worked out. was reading something about needing to flash the bios on 4850s, something about powerplay not working. i ready dont want to get into that if i dont have to. dont really know if mine was one of the new 4850's or the older ones. i have the asus eah4850.

i got a 4870. im using the hotfix drivers with ccc. with an oc of like 790 / 1850. fan speed at 40% with temps around 50-60c idle-load. 100% fan speed stays around 50c the whole time(but sounds like a vacuum cleaner >.<). also i used the AMD GPU Clock tool to set the OC then used CCC to make a new profile(with the OC set by AMD GPU tool) to change the fan speed.

all scores have been updated, pcs have been removed since he is a noob and left us, and because it woulda beatin mine.
after installing the newest beta intel drivers: Im going to have even bigger #'s to share. Dont know if it will be this weekend or next till im able to get to it. Ive also heard that come aug 5th, nvidia will be releasing drivers with physx in them for the 8800 series cards, which should add some points as well.
The #'s produced in the image below were only based on a mild overclock of the cpu, everything else was set to stock. Have a feeling my 15087 will be left in the dust :)

here is one of the intitial runs with the new asus p5n-t 780i board, q6600 GO@3.2 and a mild oc on the cards. also running with no sli bridge cause the board did not come with one. 16398!

here is mine after in installed the new directx, and the catalyst hotfix. also was able to oc the card some more. i really think with another one i can pull into the 17's. i might need to get a board that does full 16x crossfire though.

score updated in hall of fame, your in #1 spot now. Not sure that I can compete with that with this ol 8800 gts 512, however, gimmy 2 weeks :)

nothing wrong with that screen... futuremark is forcing "ORB" score in their new 3Dmark versions
what you mean new versions?
3DMark06 gets updated from time to time and the new revisions don't show you the score in a window, instead that little score window has a button that you click and it takes you to an online score..

Me just got top spot with No SLI. this new eVGA 750i SLI FTW board is major kick ass. got 3.2ghz Q6600 easily with barely any vdroop or vcore increase. heres my link
Going to try and OC my Q6600 more tomorrow, oh and btw, i think someone needs to refresh the hall of fame section ;)

hey drive you should run it at 400x8. that will put you at a 1:1 ratio with your memory, if you have ddr2 800. that will give you better performance. yeah i am with you. i think the hall of fame should be updated more.

No DriveRaider you just got #3 spot both superj and I are above you by a 1000+ marks.....it just hasnt been updated. And i dont even have my sli bridge yet! Let me know how much you can oc your q6600 though. I havent tested the limits of mine yet, it is running 1600fsb (400 on most boards, mine you have to put the total) with 8X multiplier 24/7 @3.2.

i know but the last time he updated PCgamer wasnt put in the top, because back then he had SLI and about 16.5k, im guessing hes not putting multiple card configs in the hall of fame spot for some reason.

thats ok cause i blew away pcgamers score anyway. will be even better when i get the p5e with 16x/16x crossfire, p5k is only 16x/4x. i think it may overclock the e8400 higher too. can only get 4.1Ghz stable on air.

Just shattered the Record with 18k+! I think im the first one in this clan to break 18k. This is as high as i think it can go, but im not stopping there. this is with two 8800 GTS 512 in SLI.

here is a new score i pulled last night, with some new overclocks. dont forget that i am running a motherboard that has a 16x slot and a 4x slot of crossfire. that is a big bottle neck. also i can never pull those kind of cpu scores, maybe on water but i dont think so. also sli is alot more friendly to 3dmark. wait till i get my 16x/16x board. lol. the dual is on.

yup, I noticed my cpu score was lower. I had to lower the Uncore frequency to get it stable at 1.35v and I think I left Multithreading disabled. I'm ditching my shwag Ultra psu for this:
I think I still have more overhead, but I'll do a few more runs later in the week.

Anyone got a link to a keygen for Mark06 or Vantage? I can't seem to find one that doesn't send every antivirus bell and whistle off. Or did you guys buy your versions? The basic doesn't give you the option for those nice screenies.

High 30's to low 40's for idle and just under 70 at load on average across the cores. I say average because I have one damn core that runs about 7 degrees hotter than the others. It will run 41 at idle and the my coolest one is 34. I'm pretty sure I had better reseat the heatsink. The overclock failed stability after 5hours but I'm pretty sure its my RAM that is the problem. Don't really need such a high OC so will probably dial it back.

i dont really understand. i have pulled 22k score on 3dmark06 back when i had the e8400, now i have a q9400 oced@3.4 and a new gfx card bios, running my 2 4850's @ 700/1100(stock 625/993). well maybe one of you can help lol...

Likely your CPU is bottlenecking you, funny to say about a q9400 but if I had to guess you probably had the E8400 higher clocks? The Mark06, as I understand, relies heavily on CPU for some of it scores and raw GHz actually wins out. I know when I had the i7 860 at stock it was around 20% lower then when overclocked to 4Ghz range. Might not be the whole explanation but at least a part of it.

thats prolly it. i had the e8400 clocked at 4.4ghz for most runs, and the new one is clocked at 3.4ghz...that is the highest i can seem to get it on air with my components

the new build consists of... same NZXT Tempest case OCZ Fatality 550w Modular PSU Asus P6T Deluxe V2 i7 930 @4.0GHz (2.8 stock) 6Gb (3x2Gb) DDR3 1600 Mushkin Silverline Corsair A50 CPU Cooler (this thing is massive...lol) 2x ATI Sapphire 5770 (in crossfire) 2 WD 500Gb Blues (Raid 0)
Pretty good score...just from the proc, board, and mem change went up 100fps maxxed setting in MW2..also went up 75fps in WoW
