Here's what I've done so far. This will hopefully be up on the pub tonight. I didn't do too many changes, and I marked the changes I did make, and I have comments below:

All in all, 11 changes so far, and as follows:

1*** Coalmine is a great map, and should be a good addition to the server, especially as rifles only.
2*** Onslaught on Wallender... It's a classic.
3*** Here's my own personal touch. I'm a gigantic fan of the old Mohaa maps. Remagen is by far the best one out of the entire series. I've played it before, and it's great with around 10 people. I only put it on here once, but once people play it a few times, I'm sure they'll love it.
4*** Bridge2 at trip's request. I doubt it'll stay, just here to see if it's better than the old Bridge.
5*** Matmata SD is on here multiple times, so I felt like I'd make one of em Rifles only.
6*** Rifles only CTF on Moscow. I personally love this map, I dunno why it isn't in our rotation. It's only in here once (for now) we'll try it and see how it goes.
7*** Just to be different, felt like throwing in a couple sniper only maps, and I figured it'd be fun to do Burgundy as Sniper Only. May or may not stay.
8*** Beltot CTF sucks as all weps, works great for rifles only, hence the change.
9*** Meh, just changed the Ctan DM from rifles to snipers for fun.
10*** Added another Montargis, as it's a fun map and usually sees a good population bump.
11*** Wanted to try out Hitman. It works on Toujane as far as I know. We'll see what it does.

As soon as I get ahold of Smitty or Sounds so I can upload the new maps to the redirect, this rotation will go up.

This will be a work in progress. I'm gonna slowly ween people to new maps, rather than just throwing tons of em on at once. At most, I probably won't add more than 3-4 more new maps. This rotation seems solid to me for now.

Oh more sidenotes:

I took out Townraid, Mirage, Valence HQ, and moved a couple things around as well.

Also, Anti-Tank/Music at round's end mod is sitting on the test server waiting to be put into the right folder (I don't have the permissions) and then smitty can restart the server and we can get that shit tested.

dont forget to mention to smitty about usein new redirect :) you prolly dont know anything bout it yet but i got one set up to use, hopefully it will be alot faster for most.

Thanks for adding "Coalmine" and "Bridge 2" for now.  :)
Valence SD = drops population.  Valence is better for CTF or TDM imo (good for rifles only too)  If "The Army" can make Valence LiB it should be fun.

I always said that Mirage SD sux.  It is best for CTF.  Might be good for TDM too.

Your rotation has the following:

21 maps = ESD or SD
14 maps = CTF or CTFB
3  maps = TDM
2  maps = DM
1  map = HM
1  map = ONS

thats alot of SD and ESD!

I see that a few more new custom maps will be added later(a few at a time) That's good news.

Anti-tank mod has been tested, and works like a charm. As long as you hit someone above the knees, they're dead, no 2 ways about it. I shot people in the thighs mutliple times and they died.

The music mod, while we didn't get to test it as i screwed up repackaging the iwd, will not go on the server. Because I edited the "allies win" "axis win" stuff, it'd play the music at the end of each and every SD round, instead of just the match, thus making you wait a whole minute between rounds... no.

The anti-tank mod will be added to the server tonight!

I'm also going to work on getting things moved over to the new redirect as well as getting the new rotation up and running tonight!

I havnt had time to play it yet, maybe tonight, but it all sounds good.

About the end of round music, just edit the axis/allies win and add 10-20 secs of music on there, not to much, not to little. It will allow people longer time to view the scoreboard and get pumped for the next round.

I was thinking " killing in the name of" by rage against the machine while typing this :)

Yeah, I might go back and just do a couple short clips, since it affects SD too, but I probably won't mess with mods for a while, seeing as everyone just downloaded the new A2.iwd, and I don't wanna force everyone to redownload.

Well, it appears to work fine for now. I won't do anything for probably another week, just so people can adapt to the new shit first.

But... Bridge2 = fail. Everyone i talk to (except trip) likes the old bridge better, so sometime this week, I'm dropping bridge2 and replacing its spots in the rotation with probably coalmine tdm ro and remagen ctf or tdm aw, as those both appear to be new customs that people like. Sometime next week, I will most likely beef up the rotation more with maybe more onslaught and maybe some other new shit, just to see how people like it. I may add another map or two, nothing much though. Right now, I'm just gonna look around at small mods that will work with AWE that would add a little extra something to the server when I put in the remaining weapon mod (Damage and rate of fire modifiers mainly, especially hitbox modifiers) sometime this month.

There will be more changes, some subtle, some not so much. I can guarentee, though, whatever I do will not alter the gameplay much at all, and if it does, it'll be for the better (ala anti-tank mod :D).

no offense to your rotation but there was like 4 maps in a row ctf, ctfb... thats boring... also custom maps suck, should be 3 stock maps to every custom

i think we should remove the player skins for awhile to get the size of the a2.iwd down.

Yah the skins are actually a pain because you connect to other servers and the colors of the players are default and it gets kinda hard to adjust, imo...

Yeah, I realized that while I was playing it. There's another place where I have like 3 SD in a row. I will fix that, just dunno when.

And custom maps don't suck. Some people think they do, some people enjoy them. Once I get the final 3-4 more custom maps into the rotation, it'll probably be a lot longer rotation, so I can have more stock maps to balance out the customs. I don't know if I'll make it into a pattern of 3-1, but it'll be pretty even. It's fine for now, though.

The skins don't really add much to the game, IMO, anyways. I think it's better to just revert em back to stock. It'll save us some space in A2.iwd once more goodies get thrown in there.

BTW there were many pub players who liked bridge 2, and some people came in to see what it was but the map was over....we had about 5v5 in it, during the day which is pretty solid, then it dropped after....

Sad to hear that some of you want bridge2 gone.  It is better imo because it has more features.  It has better flag positions than the current bridge map (fact).  So lets try it as CTF like werth says too.  :)  It would be a good map for TDM also.

The player skins don't matter to me that much....but don't see the reason to get rid of them.

Here is the info cut and pasted from site about the Salerno map:

Also for server admins:
you may want to increase the sd round time, due to the size
of the map.
And maybe limit some weapons and nades.

Mod compatibility:

A common error i was mailed about is ?the model_index: overflow? error.
this error is caused by too much different models loaded by the server.
For example a mod that adds extra models like all rifles, popping helmets and other effects
can cause cod2 to reach its limit of loaded models. Salerno has due to its size a lot of different models.
A solution is to dissable some of the effects that add extra models and try to run it again.

I think that Versus_Wars_Zone (final) would be a great one to add.  The other map "Bergstein 2" would be great too for a change and might be good for sniping or rifles.  :)

Bridge 2 has small little bugs, especially the inability to climb some walls. Next time I modify the rotation, I may put it back on as a CTF map. For now, it's gone, though.

We won't modify the mod just to put salerno on. It's not good enough of a map for it.

The other two maps are ehh.... Although I might put Bergstein on. We'll see about what maps get put on the server next time. The current rotation will stay in place for now.

Has the rotation been updated yet?  When you make the new rotation please post it here.  Please put bridge2 as CTF or TDM.(who cares about one wall you can't jump over...it does not effect game.)

Versus War Zone (final) = would be a good map for change and good for almost any gametype.

Sniper-only maps was me.

The sniper-only maps was for experimenting, and will probably be taken out of the rotation, or changed to a non-SD gametype.

Look. I do NOT have free time anymore. I have done what I can in the little bit I have had.

Next time I edit the rotation, which as I am expecting, will be sometime next weekend, there will be a few changes to the rotation itself, but there will only be 2 maps added.

One: MOHAA Stalingrad (been wanting this on here for a long time) It will be in twice, once as TDM RO, and once as TDM AW.
The 2nd one will be decided while I'm looking around. I doubt I'll put another MOHAA map on there, as we need more variety, it may be Sconseville.

Don't just expect everything is going to automatically happen. I'm trying to do what I can to keep things fresh, but I don't have time. When I do, I promise, I'll do what I can. Until then, just calm down.

IMO i invite you to NBS your a very loyal COD2 player and you make more suggestions then any other player on our pub, you would be a great addition to NBS!! +2 from me man, always a helpful additon to our servers and tryin to make things better.

Thanks for the kind words Knott  ;D  I can't afford to donate so id have to be RS.  I was asked to join UAN right when COD4 came out.  But when COD4 came out their COD2 server failed (everyone left and went to COD4  :'( ) I just make suggestions to make the game better for everyone including me  :)  Just trying to help.  As far as joining NBS....I'll think about it.

As a matter of fact, I hear very few people complain about my rotation. Most of the time, people tell me they enjoy the changes, especially the anti-tank mod and Remagen.

Trust me, you've only seen the beginning.

Here is what the current gameplan is for the next mod update, for those of you who are curious:

Custom skins gone. Take up space in A2 that could be used for more interesting mods.
Full weapon mod, mostly balance between SMGs. Examples would be Thomson rounds increased to 30, but damage, accuracy, and rate of fire slightly decreased for balance. MP40 damage and accuracy increased to compliment its already low rate of fire. Things like this that make sides more balanced and, I believe, more fun to play with.
Music thrown in at random spots, such as after rounds and matches.
Possibly new weapon sounds, bomb sound from CoD 4, CTF sounds, etc. for more variety.

I'm slowly working on all of this and am about halfway done. It'll probably be a couple more weeks before that's up.

This weekend, however, I will edit the rotation again with the aforementioned changes (Stalingrad for sure, and possibly Sconseville.) as well as the following:
Toujane Hitman taken out, as most people don't understand the gametype enough to play it. Probably replaced with a custom map.
A couple more AW TDM and CTF to balance out the high number of SD.
Bridge2 CTF added once or twice in the rotation.

Those are just a few of what I will be working on this Saturday/Sunday, so be on the lookout for it.

just make sure , 10 times, 100 times, that everything is a-ok before you change a2. last thing i want is too have to download a2 6 times..... so put everything in at once, not gradually, and be sure to test thoroughly before updating it. i'll gladly help in the testing

Evil, shut up, seriously.

We have been using AWE since we got the server. There are SO many excess mods that sounds made for it that make it better. It would decrease the quality of our server to dump AWE for extreme, so that's why I'm not doing it.

And werth, I wouldn't put anything on the server without running it through the test server first, so there's no worries about that.

Otherwise, the mods will take a few weeks to complete, even though there's not a whole lot to do.

+++ I tested "Sconesville" and it looks great. ;D  It's a big map which i think would be great for CTFB or TDM....or even DM.  I just think big maps suck for SD.(running around trying to find someone sucks)

There's not a whole lot that I haven't already began on that someone can do.

However, if someone wants to use their good judgement and go searching for things like weapons sounds, flag capturing sounds, bomb sounds, etc for the mod, that'd save me some time and effort.

Otherwise, I'm already halfway done with the weapon mod, and have just touched the music for round's end, so those two I'll go ahead and finish myself.

Also, I've thought about promoting Evil, as he's providing us with a fast, reliable redirect, offers some good website skills, and could overall help us out as far as RCON and modding goes. I'll talk to him at some point soon to discuss the possibility with him.

Thanks Runt....don't know what we do without ya.  Without you nothing would ever get done.  ;D  Runt saves the server by making changes frequently(every 2 weeks) to keep it fun!

I like the suggestion to balance the weapons.  The Thompson is just too strong of a weapon and dominates.  Plus most players use it for that reason.  Balancing the weapons a bit will get others to use other weapons for a change.
I personally like the mp40 and it seams a little weak.  Also the rate of fire for MP44 is a little slow as well.

IMO I would increase walking speed slightly overall.  I like the speed i get when i got the pistol.  (this would be great since most other Nobs members don't want limited sprinting on as i mentioned before.) I like limited sprinting but o well.  :P

Someone get the headshot sound to work plz. :)  Do you get 2 points for headshots like on some other servers?....just wondering.

The 30 round thompson was just an idea, not one of the basic things that was already set in stone. Seeing how most people don't like that idea, I won't go through with it.

However, the other mods that I'm doing to the weapons are not incredibly noticable. Rate of fire changed from 1.2 to 1.0 on a couple weapons, for example. Accuracy modifiers increased to make the weapon a little bit more accurate, shit like that. I'm trying not to make it seem like the weapons are nothing like stock. I'm just trying to balance things a bit, that way anytime one weapon faces another, it's more on skill and not on who has the better weapon. Like trip already has experienced, the MP40 is weak, I am slightly increasing the damage and accuracy to make it more potent to make up for its slow rate of fire, and the MP44 has a slightly increased rate of fire. I understand I never went over this with anyone, however I was not going to put it on the pub without first putting it on the test server and letting people test it for a while and give me feedback as to whether or not it should be put on the pub. Sorry I didn't make those intentions clearer.

And yes, I am modifying the runspeed VERY slightly on a few weapons.

No idea why the headshot sound isn't working and no, you only get 1 point per kill. There's no excess modifiers there.

Oh no worries, I've looked up plenty of stats on the PPSH, and I know exactly what to do with it.

It was inaccurate as hell, had horrible recoil, and it took a few bullets to kill someone.

I won't go to that extreme, but It'll be a little more balanced.

Any chance changing "Reflect" back to "Friendly Fire" (FF) ?
Got killed at least 5 times in one game due to "Reflect".  Dumb fucking teammates keep running in front of your shooting...causing you to die. >:(   Also when you throw a nade your dumb teammates will jump on them and you die. >:(
At least with "Friendly Fire" your teammates won't do that any more with out punishment where they die.  That way they will be a little bit more observant instead of being such a dumbass!
Plus  "Friendly Fire" is more realistic.
So please put back on "Friendly Fire" like it used to be.

IMO: I would put a banner up that pops up every 5 minutes or so that says the following.  "Team Killing not allowed!...otherwise you will be kicked without warning or possibly banned"  Players could always report Team Killers in forum also.

it stays reflect. trip youre exaggerating. reflect is not 100%, so you can actually shoot someone quite a bit and you wont die. also, the teammate has to be literally on top of the nade to kill you, otherwise it will just hurt you.

it stays reflect. trip youre exaggerating. reflect is not 100%, so you can actually shoot someone quite a bit and you wont die. also, the teammate has to be literally on top of the nade to kill you, otherwise it will just hurt you.
I just liked it better back in the day when FF was on.  More realistic. :)
(one of the reasons i loved the server so much over others) 

Other players should still be a little bit more observent. 
At least your teammates would stop running into your rate of fire and jumping on your nades with FF on.

Don't you just miss saying "sorry" when you accidently kill your teammates when they run in front of your rate of fire or jump on your nades? ;D 

I already said how to control the FF.  But it seems admins don't want to spend there time kicking and banning people for not following rules.  Understandable.

Putting that banner up every 5 min like i stated earlier should prevent TK abusers.

Remember when TK was on... it was set as:
--you could only kill your teammates 1 time per round....then every time after that it was reflect.

that to me was best. :)

Just my opinion....just felt like saying what i thought about it.
BTW I'm in no way ordering people to make these changes.

Trust me Riggs, that RO DM Carentan annoys me too... It's gonna be gone.

However, RO Bridge is classic, and will never leave. Bridge2 will be going on as an AW CTF, so that'll be a somewhat compromise for you :)

Remagen really only works for TDM, and even then, it's not that great. The map itself is great, but the spawns for CTF, SD, TDM... they all suck. I might try HQ, but HQ fails as a gametype. I will probably just leave it in there once as a TDM, since the map itself is so great.

Bridge2 is another classic (even tho its a massive rip off of the original map) i like all the night maps

Also runt, consider finding a map called Normandie - Heat (Not Normandie Day or Night its a compleatly different map) its one of the best maps i've ever playied, it was on the -|EGG|- server about a year back....I miss that server :(

Guys, to clear it up yet again, Bridge RO IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE! You don't have to keep asking me to keep it, it'll stay...

Riggs, I mentioned a couple pages back the maps that I'm putting into the rotation this time. I'll look into that map for next rotation edit, though, as I believe I've played on that map and remember it being pretty damn good.

I've got some free time today (for the first time in quite a while...) unless something comes up, I should be able to work on this shit tonight, and when everyone wakes up tomorrow, there should be a new rotation on the server. This is not 100%, but hopefully it'll happen.

Please get it done tomorrow. :)  Just don't want to have to wait for another weekend to go by.  Lots of us are getting tired of waiting.  I know i am. ;D  Your changes are desperately needed to boost server population.  These changes will make server a lot more enjoyable.

Are you going to balance the weapons as well this time?  Or are you going to just add some of the new maps for now?

BTW bridge2 will be great for CTF (better flag positions than bridge1)...also would be great for TDM!

Sconseville CTFB or TDM would be great as well...(like i mentioned before)

MOHAA Stalingrad is being added too as RO or AW (good for DM or TDM) :)

I am not done with the weapon mod. The time for that to get on the server is still TBA. I will be up pretty late tonight, most likely, so I will do my best to try to get a new rotation up.

Bridge2 as CTF, yes.

Sconseville CTFB probably, TDM, maybe.
