A story. A man fires a rifle for many years. and he goes to war. And afterwards he comes home, and he sees that whatever else he may do with his life - build a house, love a woman, change his son's diaper - he will always remain a jarhead. And all the jarheads killing and dying, they will always be me. We are still in the desert.

After hours of pain we found a method that works flawless: (Made 7 people do it so far and worked for everyone)

Replace your SP .exe with this one: http://downloads.soban.us/CoDWaW_LANFixed.exe
then follow the following instructions for your operating system. (everyone has to do it)

##### For XP:
-Get the CoDWaW_LANFixed.exe
-Get the newest hamachi (1.0.3.0)
-Go to your Network Connections -folder (Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Communications
-> Network Connections)
-Open Advanced (on the toolbar) and there Advanced settings... and there you have on your Connections:
Local Area Connection, Hamachi and a third one probably. So move the Hamachi on the top of the list
and restart your computer.
-Then start the game with the LANFixed.exe and host a coop game. (Make sure your firewall doesn't
block anything important.) Then it should be visible to your friend(s).

##### For Vista
1) Start -> Control Panel
2) Control Panel - Network and Sharing Center
3) Network and Sharing Center -> Manage Network Connections
4) Hit Alt to pop up the toolbar
5) Advanced -> Advanced Settings
6) Use the Arrows on the right hand side to make Hamachi on the top
7) Go back to Network Connections after hitting ok
Right-click Properties and select IPv4 and hit properties again
9) Select Use the Following IP Address: and enter this info. IP Address: The one that hamachi gives you when you log on. It might change after restarting so remember how to get here. Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0 Default Gateway: 5.0.0.1 DNS Info: Leave blank.
10) At that menu hit Advanced. At the bottom set the interface metric to 10.
11) Hit OK>OK>Close to get back to network connections.
12) Go Back to Control Panel and select Windows Firewall.
13) Hit Change Settings
14) Select Advanced Tab
15) De-select Hamachi and hit Ok.
16) Restart your machine.
17) Join any game you like.

It seems like a lot but don't worry, takes 2 mins and its totally worth it

Are you still capped at only 4 players at a time?

Yeah, 4 is the best number IMO because a good 21 level game can last for an hour. If you had 6 then it would stay on for way too long.

The problem im having is i see the game everything works fine about 30 seconds in it always freezes for the host and gives me a connection interrupted problem and we can't seem to figure it out.

K think i figured it out just disabled punkbuster in the hosting options in-game.

Yeah, I tried going the Hamchi route and it didn't work for us either, but we found another way!!

www.garena.com

go there and download garena.  I'm not a fan of downloading a program like this which seems really cheesy and full of ads- BUT IT WORKS!  You still have to get the LAN-fix file, patch, and to have beaten the game to unlock zombies mode.

At garena get an account (it's free).  When you log in, there should be a list of games on the left side...click on COD5.  Now click on North America (if you're playing in NA..duh!) and enter one of the rooms.

Once you're in a room, click on the "settings" button next to "start game" and select COD5 on the game list on the left.

Once there, click "browse" for the "executable settings" and select the LAN-fix .exe.

Now that all that's done, all you have to do is start the game from garena.  Once you're in a room, just click the "Start Game" button that was next to the  "Settings" button.  The game should start.  Either host or look for a game in co-op and you're good to go.
