Mike and you complain about cod 4.change this PC and you will do better. No seriously.. The lag only appears in the match server.. In normal servers i play normal just having some lag spikes sometimes..
I got the grit paper from canadian tire in the car paint section. I used my smooth table surface to lap it down... took me around 4 hours its seriously tiring work :(
I wrote a guide on it too which can be found here: http://www.hardmart.com/forums/showthread.php/cpu-lapping-guide-276/index.html

stable?and temps
Very nice cable management bro,Does the newer 900 come with holes in the back? I had to cut mine with rotary myself,I've read the whole thread about Antec 900 at xtremesystems but i'm way too lazy to do the HD mod like you did, :) Nice OC chip you got there as well, only 1.45v to get 4.5GHz,my e6600 needs 1.535v to get stable @3.6.
Nice OC chip you got there as well, only 1.45v to get 4.5GHz,my e6600 needs 1.535v to get stable @3.6.
The 45nm chips use less voltage.. i needed 1.5v to run my e6850 @4GHz
What kind of temps do you get running @ 1.535v?

8 gigs of ram?
when would you ever use that much ram?
no i heard it from the 1 who build my rigg!!!
Sounds like von dutch got sucka'd into buying 8 gigs of ram when he really doesnt need that much hahaha.
I think that with a ammount of ram a AMD processor will be happy because of the integrated memory controller, on intel you wont notice so much diference.
just on nehalem.

just get 2 and be ready :P
2 of what?
get 2 gigs now... and be ready for win7 :/
yes but enjoy all those 64x apps out there :P [/sarcasm]
i dont have any problems with 64bit drivers/apps, everything runs as smooth as it can!!But don't u have to find Special software crap for x64yes but enjoy all those 64x apps out there :P [/sarcasm]
You don't NEED 64 bit apps .. program files are seperated into two folders: Program Files and Program Files(x86) .. being 64-bit and 32-bit respectively. So 32 bit apps get installed in Program Files(x86) and run perfectly. At this point it is near impossible NOT to find 64 bit drivers ... unless you have hardware from a fucking museum. Get with the times! 3 GB limit on a 32bit OS is ridiculous.
Just got a 5870:

too bad about the rat crawling in there and making that nest. :P
Very nice setup Kuato! nice and clean like always :P How are the temps for the CPU and GPU? Gotta admit that is one kick ass case. Did you pay retail price for that?
I am in the process of water cooling my i7 as well .. will post pictures once I get my parts and set it up :)
Looking good .. how are the temps on the h5o?

Yes, well what a pain sleeving is. Most people were saying its about 5 to 6 hours to sleeve a PSU. I must be all thumbs because it took me closer to 20 although the sleeving I was using for it was odd and didn't help much. But it looks good now! :P
That can't be right :/ I read on countless forums that adding a high end gpu on i7 on a dual 120 rad would heat up way too much.
Hi There:
I wrote the article, so I do stand by it :)
