xp32 only shows ~3, same thing with vista, and same thing with windows 7. it doesnt have anything to do with the OS, it has to do with which version, 32bit or 64bit.. you can get windows XP 64bit and have as much ram as you want, hell you can put 64GB if you want.

same thing with windows 7, if you only get 32bit youre only gonna get ~3.25GB ram.... just upgrade to win 7 64 bit and use 2GB, no need to buy more

i dont have any problems with 64bit drivers/apps, everything runs as smooth as it can!!

You don't NEED 64 bit apps .. program files are seperated into two folders: Program Files and Program Files(x86) .. being 64-bit and 32-bit respectively. So 32 bit apps get installed in Program Files(x86) and run perfectly. At this point it is near impossible NOT to find 64 bit drivers ... unless you have hardware from a fucking museum. Get with the times! 3 GB limit on a 32bit OS is ridiculous.

I do have some old parts like my internet card and and my old nvidia 8400 so i still not sure

Just got a 5870:



honestly I am completely blown away by the performance!! runs any game at 1920x1200 maxed out butter smooth! finally a good 1 card solution that powers a big display.

old 8800gt's
