I got it on like Friday... one point of advice... you get a gun to start off with... DONT WASTE ITS BULLETS Just randomly punch a cop, wait till he pulls out a gun AND KILL HIM... then take his ammo, take cover, and spray the incoming cops with carefully placed shots, and you can just run and claim ammo. And if you get a melee weapon, go to an atm, wait for someone to use it, and then KILL THEM, for big money :D

This game is 1 of the greatest games i've playied, However, There was WAAAAAAAAAAAY more stuff you could do it San-Andreas, For instance, Steal Airplanes, Get parashutes, get jets.ect....GTA IV is the better game, but san andreas had a better story...

well if u think the Grand Theft Auto games are based just on ONE thing: the american dream.u know in this case its a balkan war veteran who came to usa called by his cousin who said he was rich...and here is where the next sentence becomes primordial (and in every GTA too): get rich, or die trying.
and i heard that the reason why there r no planes is that its not allowed in new york to fly planes in the city coz of the air traffic or somethin...the sad thing is that jumping from where no plane could go higher with a parachute and fall like half an hour was my favorite thing in every gta...it was cool to open the parachute right away and wait hours to get to land and get sick of it and jump with no parachute from thousands of feet...and if u had the max life bar u didnt die lol

lol i always just used to put in the 6 star wanted lvl cheat and see how long I could survive, i actually lasted an hour and a half once :O

My PC is plenty good, can play CoD 4 in pretty high settings. It'll be able to handle GTAIV.
lol cod4 doesn't require too much TBH. From what I heard... it really pushes your computer to the limits... someone's bechmark: Quad @ 3.6GHz, GTX280, 9800GT(Physx) 1920x1200 res... 47 avg fps
oh and the clonedvd version doesn't work so don't waste your gigs... it needs a crack
i'd wait for a proper version with crack included.

Ya, i installed with crack and everything is fine. It looks like im getting at least 60fps(minimum) on my computer running this game. My questions is how are we suppose to save if you are required to have a Windows Live account?

I have the new GTA4-BETA drivers and got 10-15 fps boost which is really really good.
@Danglez: Create a live offline account which will allow you to save :) and 60fps minimum? bullshit ... I can't even get that much with 1280x1024 on lowest settings.... (atleast with the official nvidia drivers)

The new drivers add around 10-15 fps for nvidia only.. nothing yet for ATI users. Changing resolution won't make too much difference because the game is very CPU dependent ... it uses 75%-80% of my quad
Its very playable on my setup.. fuk im addicted .. been playing it all day

This game is really good xD I love the way car is getting broken, it's pretty much more realistic. Though many of you can complain that the main hero and guys around talk sometimes on ukraine or russian, funny enough I understand both without a prob lol xD Good game, truly. Everybody have fun!

tbh GTA IV sucked....there was so much hype about this game that they lost track of the true meaning of the game...They discluded so many good features (which is what had made the game fun)

Well the patch didn't help but the game is wicked,i can still use the mouse/keypad till i figure it out. Can you let me know if the controller fixes that problem. Might have to go get one myself.

i've got a 512mb Nvidea Geforce 9500GT with 6gb ram and i dont think my videocard would be good enough for GTA IV to run even at half the graphics..
