can i ask why the amd x2 6000 and not a intel c2d?
Two reasons mate:
1) I don't like Intels (the last intel I had was P2) & 2)Over here Intels are about

Since i like hardware stuff this is my opinion.
1.Dont buy AMD coz it based on old technology,AM2 motherboards are old they soon will change to AM3 2.Bigger HDD you will never regret to have bigger then 250 gb price diff. are minimal if you get bigger then that. 3.I understand that AMD CPU are cheaper but they simply not good anymore they produce them with 0.9 nm or a bit less not sure they have also less cache. 4.You dont need X-fi sound card -believe me you will not needed.i own one tho and a dont use it coz its always some conflicts.besides sound cards on mainboard are more then good. 5.I did also buyed AMD all the time but this year i changed to Intel for the first time since i buyed my first PC (1996) 6.You buy instead Intel socket 775 and you can upgrade for very long time without changing Mainboard(you can use old CPU,Singlecore,dualcore,extreme,Quattro) + if you buy right one Mainboard you can also change to DDR3,also you get speed bus up to 1333mhz instead of 1000(AMD) 7.The rest of you config. is OK i hope im not confusing you.Just trying to help you ;D

Do not get the 640 MB 8800 unless you have a 24" lcd or bigger, its a waste of money, the difference between the 640 and 320 are very very small.
there is a real comparison of the 2 somewhere if you google it.
Use the money you save from the 640 and get a c2d, trust me. Im like AMD as well, but c2d pwns AMD all day long.

I cant find stuff about this Motherboard in my net. shops so i think this Motherboard is a bit outdated-just so you know.Power supplie TT 650watt should be enough i have myself TT but 750watt and im very pleased. If you buy this Motherboard im 100% sure you cant use Quadd in the future :( Hearts you the BOSS here. say that this motherboard is outdated and you want one based on P35 and if its Asus you go for then most pop. is P5 just be careful coz some of those supports just CoreDuo.
I have myself ASUS-P5KC this one is a bit more expensive so i dont say you have to buy it.Just remember you build here PC you should use i guess in couple more yrs ? So be smart as much your wife let you to be coz belive me you dont want to waste the money on some outadet specs.

I did buy parts to one PC i did build back in 2006 and i just wasted about 1000$ and i had so many problems to get to work this pice of shit that i could write a book about it ;D
This i had:AM2 MSI K9N SLI Platinum,Nvidia 7900GT 256mb,FSP 600watt,CPU 4600+,XFI-music (+++) I had my PC in service over 1 month and they couldnt find any mistake in the end they just said that CPU is broked.they was wrong,coz i tok my CPU to my brother PC and is was working so great he didnt want to give it to me back :)
There is much more but i dont write to much,just learn from my mistakes.
