Title: Need mobo and power compatability help plz
Post by: ConMan on February 07, 2008, 10:02:14 PM
Ok, I'm currently upgrading my rig with a new motherboard, gfx card, and ram.

My motherboard is a XFX Nvidia 680i LT, and I have 1 question:

Will this motherboard be compatible with a 20-pin connector PSU, or will it only work with a 24-pin connector?

There is an adapter that lets you use either, or at least there was several years ago when I fooled around with motherboards and such.  Don't know if it is advisable or not or if you can still find them.

The PSu I bought, a Nox Urano series 500 watts, has a 20-pin +4pin adapter.

Wait, you want to connect a 20-pin PSu to a 24-ppin Socket ? If that
