ok heres my rig...

ASUS P5K-SE Motherboard   -    may upgrade to ASUS Striker-II
nVIDIA 9600 GT 512MB GPU
4GB DDR2 800MHz
320GB SATA HDD
16x Write Speed DVD
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz O.C.ed to 2.60GHz

yeh if i forgot a part lol, just reply, tell me im only human after all!

no point in having a 9000 series yet, you can run any game out right now with an 8800GT or GTS on max detail/resolution easy, just saying. That also depends on the processor working with it of course.

If your planning to keep 1 card and getting a new mobo, then get it with X48 chipset or upcoming P45 chipset...

no point in having a 9000 series yet, you can run any game out right now with an 8800GT or GTS on max detail/resolution easy, just saying. That also depends on the processor working with it of course.
why not? ive seen the 9600gt at around $120 so its a lot cheaper than the 8800gt and almost equal in performance

@Stryker: 9600GT is the best nvidia card when it comes to price vs. performance.

@A5D: I wouldn't recommend x48 since it will cost you a limb.

ASUS P5K-SE Motherboard  ... that MB sux... i got one so i know what im saying :(
and u can get more from that processor  ;D

 ??? to work in SLI i need 2 equal graphic cards right ?
i cant have a 8800GT and a 9600GT  ???

yes they have to both be 8800 9600 etc.  i have the regular p5k and it is good board
