Title: Nvidea GeForce 7200 (AGP)
Post by: Riggs on September 24, 2008, 04:06:24 PM
Im not looking to buy, considering i already know where to get it cheap, however, i just wanted to know if any of you have had this card, and if its worth buying i cant get a new PC anytime soon, and this 6200 i got is really a huge piece of shit...
I was looking for a radeon 8600 GTX but all the cards they make are PCI-E and i dont have a PCI-E slot, only PCI :(

in my old cpu i have the 7900GS also on AGP slot, but its a good card tho, dont think theres much differense but clock speed, and memory!!!!!! but then again i dont now that much about graphisc cards, if it runs good and do what i want it to do, then its ok with me, now i got 9600GT on PCI slot, and i like it!!!

agree, if you get a new mobo you have to get new cpu, ram, and video card. stick with what you have.
do you have agp or pci slot? if you have agp slot get a used card for cheap..... like this.. sickkkk deal http://www.usedottawa.com/classified-ad/7078561

I'm going to, Hence why i made this topic, i just wanted to know if it was an alright Video card before i bought it....If i got a Nvidea 6600 thats JUST good enough to hold CoD4, I'd prolly get like 20 fps and it would be horribal, so when i saw the 7200 my jaw dropped, i've gotta Con my mom into getting it, but if all goes smooth, i should have it next week
btw do we have just a SD/custom map CoD4 server? if so whats the IP

you do realize that the 6600 is like 342823847 times better than the 7200 right? and if you pay more than $10 for the 7200 you get ripped off.

thanks for that link, i'll look into it, the 7200 AGP a staples was like 120$ i thought it was kind of a rip off...and how is the 6600 better? the 7200 is more advanced providing Better FPS
I was concernd when i saw this card considering it says "Visiontek Radeon X1550 256MB DDR2 AGP DVI VGA HDTV Out Video Card" i dont have an HD monitor, would that matter?

where do you get its more advanced? because the number is higher lol? dont EVER trust numbers.. especially with nvidia lol...
6600 is way better. $120 is WAY too much for 7200... id say its worth about $20.

dont worry about that.
what you need to know though, is that AGP is dead, its old technology, barely any cards are made anymore. so naturally youre best bet is to find a used one, someone that is upgrading to PCI-E and wants to get rid of their agp card.
that x1550 should be good for you. cheap, play cod2 well, and cod4 okay..
