BTW Smitty's POS sound card crashed my computer...thanks to his helpful used hardware.  Should have went with Caboose's idea instead.  It seems to be working fine after a complete reload of the machine but Hell if I wanted that kind of misery I would have went to the local walmart and bought one of their crap cards.  LOL So basically Smitty bent me over and well you get the idea

I hope your kidding me right? I didnt use it because it wouldnt give me 5.1 to my headphones, only to my surround sound. I never had an issue with, or someone here woulda heard about it.

Its working fine now.  But seriously I had to do a fresh install of vista after continual blue screens.   Not a big deal, all I use this machine for is gaming.  No important info was lost.  I think I had a driver conflict with trying to force the old soundblaster live card to work with vista and when I put a card that was compatible with vista it freaked.  I also found that this Xfi card doesn't currently support Windows DRM and I was playing DRM music with it when it flipped out.  Could have been why there was a caution on installation of the driver. :o ;D
