What video card though?
the 8800 lower end series are good I hear, they have the chip for HD decoding through i hear the software is still kinda rough on it. You would need to use something like powerdvd. Though CoreAVC is a codec that is supposed to be very good and doesnt use the chip at all.

well that board has hdmi and x1200 radeon integrated or something apparently it will work fine for hi def.. if not.. hd3850 is the best option

jsut throwin out ideas.. that ram would be fine for the first one.. second one i couldnt find anything good atm... usually some other nice 4-4-4-12 rams drop to ~$35-40
