do you know a decent amount about computers? sockets, FSB speeds, memory modules? what kind of CPU you want, amd or intel?

compatibility is going to be your major obstacle. if youre getting a quad im going to assume its a lga 775 socket. your motherboard should support socket 775 CPU's and also support ddr2 800mhz ram. also check to make sure the motherboard supports at least a 1333mhz FSB which is the Front side buss the CPU runs at. as for your videocard just make sure it has at least 1 PCI express x16 slot. case should be the ATX formfactor as well as your PSU and Motherboard. this formfactor is related to things fitting inside the case, make sure your PSU also has a PCI-express 6 pin cable and a 24 pin motherboard cable. id recommend at least a 500 watt power supply. newegg is running a good deal on 8600 GT's here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150229 and tigerdirect has some cheap 2 gigs of dual channel 800 ram here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2206874&Sku=C13-2022 . if you have any questions about anything ive said just let me know, also post the parts you plan on getting with the information ive provided you so we can make sure it will work with your setup, do not buy anything unless you are absolutely sure it will be compatible.

well the newer 8600 gt with ddr3 can keep up with a 8800gt when you OC it, but being that 8800gt prices are droping, its a tough call.

The board is a decent board.

Id never order from tigerdirect! EVER!

The only way id order speakers online is with free shipping.
