Smitty was telling me about Grid so I downloaded it last night and let me tell you that game is SWEET.  Not a pure sim, but probably the best pc racing game I've ever played.  I've heard mixed reviews on the Multiplayer mode, but i guess you can do online races with up to 12 people and you can turn full car damage on or off.(leave it on!)  Weekly GRID session anyone?

Another game to consider: GTR2.  This game is so sick, you can even load your lap logs into Motec's i2 pro software and use it to tune pretty much every aspect of your car: has lap reports, tire temp analysis, break check, weather impact, changes in traction, shift points, weight transfer, suspension travel... etc.

Some pics of the logs:

wow gtr2 looks like to much work for me :(

A story. A man fires a rifle for many years. and he goes to war. And afterwards he comes home, and he sees that whatever else he may do with his life - build a house, love a woman, change his son's diaper - he will always remain a jarhead. And all the jarheads killing and dying, they will always be me. We are still in the desert.

nah.. it's not one of those frustratingly hard sims, it lets you adjust the realism.  i was just pointing how deep you can get with it if you're a huge car nerd.  plus the car sounds in this game are some of the best.  try it out

We played GRID online last night and it was fun as hell.  It doesn't have dedicated servers, so you can play the cracked version np.  Just make sure you update to v1.1.  You can get this game using the NoBS downloader, so paid members should take advantage of this.  Smitty put together a great how-to here:http://www.nobsclan.com/forums/index.php?topic=3089.0 If you need help setting it up just ask around.

Other games we're going to try this week are GTR2 and LFS, so post here if you'd like to join us.

btw, werth get good k
