If you have a crap connection..... you can limit how much bandwidth you give utorrent to download the files.
And... if you really want to you can schedule it during nighttime so it downloads when your not using it.

What's wrong with your connection?
I've never heard of a connection that's never been able to download torrents....
Only slow ones though.

It all depends on if you help seed or not, or ..... if you even upload.

Most of the time you can't get good speeds unless the torrent you are downloading has plenty of seeds.

If not, then something is the matter with your connection.

yes dirtone, more seeds the torrent have more ur connection shuld be better.when u download a torrent choose the most seeder torrent 
u have 1mb = 1024 kbits = 128 Ko that's u have in theory but in real the max that u can use about ur 1024 kB is only 716.8 kB = 89.6 Ko => it's only 70% of ur connection the other 30% are lost in two step: the first 10% are losed by annex connection (cherching peers by UDP and TCP protocol) and the second 20% are lost by ur windows (windows reserve 20% of the pass band to update but u can disable it and u ancrese ur connection by 20% so u'll have aroud 820 kB/s = 102 Ko)

omggg noobs use private torrent trackers (google it) there are 1000's of them fast download speeds ect. and safe

here is one im admin on  http://betamaxbits.uk.to  top download speed is about 100mb we have 3 seed boxes so there is 300mb download speed for users and thats even before the other ppl start seeding
everything needs to be seeded for 24 hours or to a .65 ratio or you will get a H&R then banned if not seeded. please read rules before you start downloading.

im not for saying much but if you think your safe using public trackers go for it, but sooner or later public trackers wont be around because of RIAA, MPAA, MediaDefender and lots more try to shut down public trackers, im not saying this dont happen to private trackers it does but its alot harder to get into a good private torrent tracker, sign ups open and close all the time or the tracker is invite only and the only way to get into it is to know some1 in it with an extra invite.
i have seen the best torrent trackers invites sell for ?100's and to get one of the site is like ?50
three of the best i know and cant get into are scc, Sct< or sceneassecc they have every pre in the world pre time of 1min from being finished makin f****** unreal pre times.

I say get into a private torrent tracker now and start getting a good ratio because when the time comes there is no public ones left you will thank me for saying this.

stuff that private torrent trackers offer (Ratio, Bonus points, seeding bonus points, forum posting points, Mirc/X-Chat points 1/2points an hour there is alot more ways to get points but cant mind   points let you buy more upload GB's for a better ratio/invites and ask for a torrent you want uploaded there is alot more to offer from a private tracker.

I used to be Sysop on AceT. No invites left for any but AceT and DH. The others you get them when you donate and i havent ever donated sorry.
AceT is just was just as good as SCC and Sct when i was sysop there when i was watching tracer channels. And there pres seem to still be great so let me know if you want in. OFC they may be open atm dunno.
