this was an auto update that took place today. if you have disabled punkbustera.exe and punkbusterb.exe you will now get kicked. so reenable them for now i guess

I dont know whats going on, I updated Punkbuster but i am still getting booted. Any ideas?

start, run, services.msc

make sure both PunkbusterA and PunkbusterB are Automatic and started

the only problem is that i lose key packets and get booted every time punkbuster is on? does anyone know a way to fix this...i usually disable punkbusterA and B but i guess i cant now...

aplaw has the same problem, but his is with b. and when he did that start run thing, b isnt even in his run file thing. any ideas?

As of July 25,2007 PunkBuster has release a new update. Both Servers have been updated with this new updates so if you are having troubles connecting you will have to goto PB's website and run the PBsetup.exe to update your PunkBuster. Now after this update for some reason PunkBuster is wanting to use the PunkBusterA.exe and the PunkBusterB.exe what alot of players had disabled before on the last update being it was not needed. Well now it is so every one has to make sure that their PunkBusterA.exe and the PunkBusterB.exe are set for automatic in your services panel. If you do not know how to find them it is really easy.

Here are the Steps.

1)Open Your Control Panel For Your PC.
2)Goto Administrative Tools
3)Now Click on Services.
4)look for both PunkBusterA.exe and PunkBusterB.exe
5)Right click on both of them and goto properties and then set both for automatic.
6)If needed reboot your machine afer you have done all these steps and you should be Good.

smitty thats good, but when aplaw reinstalls and everything, b isnt even in his files. hes thinking about quitting gaming lol. anyone have ideas?

download a program called pbsvc it will install and check everything for pb. but i still hate the new update it does nothing but make me lag like hell,an get a drop in fps because it is using cpu now all the time.
