welp, looks like i may need a new car.... sigh.... need some suggestions. kinda want a convertible for the summer :P but then that poses a prob for the winter.

not looking to spend too much. i guess it depends how much my insurance company gives me. i can maybe add some more... bring on the ideas!!

You can buy my 03 zx3 hatch 2.3L 5 speed, with every option EXCEPT leather (yes sunroof, 6 disc audiophile package, w/sub CIA, short shifter, blah blah blah 16" blingers) if ya want. Ill even give ya a deal. Not sure how you sell a car to a canuck.  Faster than the svt focus though!

If you're looking for something that will last a while while giving you some comfort, looking into the 02-06 Nissan Maxima.  They have enough horsepower to give you some satisfaction and a bit of comfort at the same time. 

You also can never go wrong with a Honda or Toyota.  When I was learning to drive, my parents saved their 88 accord just so I can learn later on.  That car lasted me way beyond 300k before my sister totaled it.  Honestly, honda engines are pretty bulletproof.

Werth if you want a car that's cheap on gas and is luxurious then definitely check out the one I have. They are really popular in Ottawa apparently.. the Acura 1.7 EL .. comes with leather, woodgrain, sunroof etc etc and you can drive around 500km on a full $35 tank.

Insurance wise, get something pre 2004 and you won't have to pay much! This is honestly an amazing car to have as a student.
