    *   Josh visited IW's Steam site tonight and found a new game IP port, in a range that looks very similar to a dedi-server: 64.111.160.25:28965. Could IW be trying a dedicated server? There was someone in there until the wee hours...

I'd guess they still connect to the host the same way through a standard CoD port. or they might have dedicated testing servers.

i stil think its a rumor about the steam shit, i highly doubt that they wont be giving dedi server support, just cus of the way cod mp is ment to be played, maybe they'll support both, who knows?? only IW knows...stil nothing is confirmed by anyone of IW..

btw i'll stil be buying MW2, cus i think if they wont give dedi support now (cus they want to make the release date, thats why there was probebly a delay for some time but now there isnt), then they'll maybe do it with a patch or something!!

For what? Why buy it? You will not be able to play with any clan mates, 402 said the the matchmaking will match players by skill and PING.

oh we can all play together.... but.... you would have to find out who in the clan has the best connection and also the most centralized location to strat the private match. Its total 100% fucking bs. I wonder if there will be a way to just leave a host running all day long and it would act like a server....... hmm.
