Did not try your tweaking suggestions yet KU@TO... will look into it.

If you get kicked for error or losing key packets don't exit the game....just go in console ~ and type /reconnect and hit enter and you will automatically reconnect fast.

+  trip
or when you end up in the mainwindow click the nobs logo on center bottom of the page ....

Yes, that gets him back into the game but that's not addressing his problem.  His issues are host side and prob.(IMO) also a combination of ISP issues and physical distance from the server.  For instance, clients can mark the packets as important and request priority for them, but transporting your COD2 packets will probably not be your ISPs most urgent task.

@Rico:  Next time you get kicked out for packets, run a trace route and post it here: http://www.nobsclan.com/forums/index.php?topic=2682.0
The server guys were trying to troubleshoot why people were are losing packets.

             What's your ISP/Location?

I live in the mid-west and I lose a lot of packets on this server.  I didn't have this problem on our old pub.

***Btw I'm by no means an expert on the subject... I'm just trying to help this guy with the little I know.  Does anyone here have solid networking experience?

Guys 95% of packet loss comes from surfing porn.

Not just talking viruses etc. Alot of these companies do sextrackers or other trackers from other sources (legit marketing companies). Your network (between you and your modem/router) becomes flooded with data being sent to it. So it drops packets. (like 5 guys trying to go through the same doorway)

you can google and find out how to get rid of them, but I personally just re-install windows.

The other 5% is equipment issues, bad cables, bends in cables (no not like a water hose- when a cable gets bent enough the twisted pairs become compromised), Bad routers, bad equipment from your ISP, Bad equipment from their ISP's (att/sprint mostly) as well as high network volume loads on any of the before mentioned
