how many slots do you have and what is each stick? its probably bad generic ram in 3-3-2-2 setup. plus, guranatee you dont even need more than 4, let alone 10

eeerrrrmm question i been wanting to add an extra 2gb to my comp but i always have used xp maybe i will move to 7 sometime but not soon.. cus dont have time to format and back up my shit.. like 300+gb

So the question.. If i get that extra stick it will be a total waste? should i get a new HDD and put windows 7 on it and then i can get my extra 2 gb?
