well i am upgrading to an e8400 or a q6600.  not really sure yet.  but i was wondering if anyone knew where to get the best price on each.  already been to newegg.  if anyone knows any better deals let me know.  also what you think about quad or dual

if you go q6600, buy one used, they're last gen you can probably pick one up for 140 or so

Q6600 is a great cpu if you oc it.
Get it if you edit video/images/sound, work with cad or 3d etc etc etc

Get 8400 otherwise.

well i can get a good deal on a e7200.  what do you guys think of that.  reviews look good.  but would an e8400 be that much better.  just want something that will blow the e6400 out.

well i got the e8400.  overclocked it to 4.0 and it was all stable, then i upgraded to vista 64 and it wont go to 4.0 stable anymore.  also i found out the p5k board i have must have a short around the cpu cause it you push on the artic cooler at all it resets and i have to keep one of the pegs unlocked or it wont boot.  i really think it is time to go to a x48 board but they are all to high still.  is there anythign that anyone can tell me to help me out.  should burn in time be an issue to overclocking.  i am really getting frustrated.  any help would be great.
