Ok here's my view  Grenade launcher is pretty much an instant kill on hardcore every time a grenade launcher spawns and that's understandable why is removed from the server, but what about martyrdom.  You can't have people with martyrdom on a server especially hardcore where everybody is running around.  Martyrdom is ruining the hardcore server.  While it gives the person with marty the upper hand what about the people who play and suddenly die from marty.  In my opinion marty is just as bad if not worse than a grenade launcher.  Think of it grenade launchers you shot you miss or you hit, but for marty if you die and the person is right next to you he's going to die too.  Also I've played on many other Hardcore servers that disallow Grenade Launchers & Martyrdom.  I really hope you can take my idea and ban martyrdom of the NoBS #5 Hardcore Mixed server.

I know that UTDM doesnt allow Martyrdom on the servers at all. Martyrdom is one of the most noob fail perks in the game. I dont know if it deserves a ban but its definitely something that we should consider enforcing. And since theres no HUD you dont have those handy grenade indicators so it makes it even more cheap. Im not assigned to pub 5 but i know for sure i wouldnt kick for marty on pub 4 since its not hardcore and it warns you about grenades. Im going to add a poll for you to see what the rest of the clan thinks and if it does pass, it is unlikely that people will get banned for this unless its out of blatent disrespect after multiple warnings.

smitty found some config type of thing, thta allows you to modify the server without the need of a mod, so nobody can use perks as martydome, 3 frag and even noobtube, only thing is we need to figure out how to put the config in!

It would be cool.....if we could take out some perks all together....we should really test this and get one that works

I'm all for marty although I don't use it myself but to want to ban ppl for using its a little harsh...by no means am I telling anyone how to run their server(you pay for it, do as you please) but its hard enough getting the no GL rules or even blatant hackers enforced sometimes...sure theres lots of members wearing the tags, but more times than not, nobody connected to the server that can do anything about it, until they MSG someone who can.

I am by no means up to snuff on trying to maintain a server and even thinking about wanting to, but if there is no way to to automatically block perks, then you are just opening yourselves up to more work of the influx or requests to ban people for something that is just ultimately part of the game...

I get were your coming from,  but i play on the Hardcore server everyday you don't know how annoying it gets when you kill a person and your reaction is to late to realize that he had marty and you have no time left to run.

Man u have the ability to run away if u kill a martygayer, if you have speakers u'll hear the nade when it hits the floor.
